Calling all makers!
Whether you work with tech, crafts, cars, robots, sculpture, robots, mad science, or something in between, we want to show it off at the 2017 Seattle Mini Maker Faire on September 16-17, 2017! Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects.
We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired!
We’re seeking makers of all types and ages including individuals, hobbyist groups, schools, non-profit organizations, and commercial businesses. Exhibits that are interactive or highlight the process of making things are especially desired. Whatever it is you like to make, show it off to an enthusiastic audience of over 6,000 people.
I am proud to be a collaborator on the fifth annual Seattle Mini Maker Faire on September 16-17, 2017 at MoPOP and the Next 50 Plaza of Seattle Center.
One of the primary goals of this festival is to elevate awareness of the inventive, creative, resourceful, and DIY-spirited projects coming out of our community, and to celebrate the maker movement around the globe on a local level.
This two-day festival will showcase makers from around the region, and feature talks, live demonstrations, and booths displaying the work of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. Part science fair, part street fair, part full-on innovation movement, the event aims to inspire makers of all ages to further their passion for creation, as well as to ignite a passion for “making” in all those who are in attendance.
We are currently seeking makers and projects to feature at Seattle Mini Maker Faire. I think you’d be a great fit and would like to invite you apply! I’m happy to answer any specific questions you might have, or you can find more information here: makerfaireseattle.com and MoPOP.org/makerfaire.
We hope to see you there!
